The Big Ride continues...

I'm sorry I haven't been able to post regularly but WiFi availability has been a bit spotty.

It's amazing how simple life becomes when involved in an adventure like this: wake up, pack, eat, ride, set up camp, eat, sleep and then do it all over again, and again, and again....
The range of scenery is unbelievable, even the stark, barren, dry high prairie has its own attractiveness. And the other riders, each person is unique with their own interesting stories to tell. I'm enjoying it all!

Here are some highlights of the last week...

Hi, Jim,

Got your postcard this past Saturday. I visited Montana in 1974 on my way to British Columbia and found the Big Skies breathtaking, the horizon appearing to reach far beyond 180 degrees. The people were extremely friendly and very laidback. A favorite story is visiting an Allstate insurance office inside the Sears store in downtown Butte after realizing, somewhere west of the Mississippi, that I had forgotten to pay by auto policy before leaving home. The insurance agent was out of the office fishing, but a Sears sales clerk, after hearing my tale, insisted I use their telephone to call my agent back in Chicago to explain my situation. As I said, very good people!
Jim, I don't know how you find the time and energy to keep your blog current, but I'm enjoying it very much.

Safe pedaling,
George F

Hi Jim,
I just checked out your blog and I am so impressed and envious of all the amazing sights and wonderful people you're meeting...definitely great for sharing with the kids back at FJH. One bit of advice though...try not to throw off the other riders by distracting them with "points of interest" ha. Also, rest assured, me sending this comment to your blog is more difficult than you being in the BRAA! Looking forward to more entries, stay safe, Mary Kay

Oops, I forgot to tell you I find the sumo butt an interesting feature on your bike, but I think a smiley face would have been better...ha. This will go a long way at FJH! Mary Kay
