July 19, 2008 New Ulm, MN
Rest day. Luckily I did my laundry last night so today I explored the town, cleaned up my bike and caught up on my blog. New Ulm is a quaint town with a strong German heritage – over 80% of the population is German!

Jim,
Good to hear that you are having a great ride, I wish I was right there to pull once in a while. Down here we call the Dairy Queen sign a "Texas Stop Sign". It sounds like you have a great bunch to ride with and that the press are following your exploits.
Keep the rubber side down!
Steve.
Jim, I enjoy reading your blogs. Welcome to the flatlands. I wanted badly to meet you in Belvedere-- home of the Scion! But I am off camping for the weekend. My hope is that as we go through Madison, we might see some riders there. Continue your usual pranks. You are so good at finding victims. Continue to stay safe. I can't believe that you're just half way there. What a long "vacation."
